Deadline extended for St. Patrick's Parade entries in St. Charles

ST. CHARLES – Those wanting to participate in the 17th annual St. Patrick’s Parade have more time to submit their application.

In a news release, the Downtown St. Charles Partnership announced last week it extended the deadline for entries to Feb. 26.

Volunteer applications will be accepted up to the date of the parade, the release states.

The parade is set for 2 p.m. March 12 on Main Street in St. Charles.

Local businesses, community groups and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to participate, the release states.

Past entries have included bands, Irish dancers, school groups and service clubs.

According to the release, parade applicants must complete an entry form, obtain a certificate of insurance and sign off on the rules and regulations. The documents must be returned to the Downtown St. Charles Partnership office with the appropriate entrance fee. The cost is $250 for businesses, $125 for partnership members and free for nonprofits.

Businesses seeking to sponsor the event should contact the partnership immediately, the release states.
