St. Charles resident Ellen Kamps, 27, was working at the Kane County Regional Office of Education in Geneva when she answered 12 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? Geneva. I graduated from Geneva High School in 2007.

Pets? Two kitties, Romeow and Ninu

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Jennifer Connelly

First job? At Pepperidge Farm in downtown Geneva. This is my 11th place working in downtown Geneva.

A movie you’d recommend? “10 Cloverfield Lane,” It was scary.

Favorite charity? Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley

Do you speak another language? Indonesian

Words of wisdom? Complacency, not curiosity, killed the cat.

Favorite ice cream flavor? Cake batter

Do you play an instrument? I sing

Favorite local restaurant? The Finery & Blacksmith Bar in St. Charles

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I took Bahasa Indonesia at NIU to fulfill my language requirement, and I ended up doing a study abroad in Indonesia. And I stayed with a Muslim family during Ramadan. It was super cool.
