I graduated from East in 2015.

Pets? A shih tzu-toy poodle mix named Max

movie of your life? Seth Rogen

First job? Working at my dad’s cheese business, Curds & Whey Cheese Company, based in Geneva.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A jazz musician/college professor

Do you play an instrument? I play drums, bass and piano. I’m going to school for piano.

A movie you’d recommend? “The Revenant”

Favorite charity? American Cancer Society and LivingWell Cancer Resource Center in Geneva

Words of wisdom? Carpe diem. I wrote a song about it that will be online at Alex Murphy Jazz on Facebook.

Favorite local restaurant? El Puente in St. Charles and Nobel House in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I’ve played at the Jazz Showcase in Chicago three times.
