McHENRY – Incumbent Vic Santi was re-elected to his seat on the McHenry City Council as 1st Ward alderman, according to unofficial results from the McHenry County Clerk’s Office.

Santi won with 383 votes compared with challenger Michael Coveny’s 269 votes, according to unofficial results.

The 1st Ward includes the Green Street and Main Street business districts as well as the neighborhoods of Edgebrook Heights, Country Club Estates, Liberty Trails and Huntersville Park.

The 1st Ward race was the only contested race for alderman.
