Woodstock police charge three juveniles after incident at Bott's Welding

WOODSTOCK – Woodstock police have arrested three male juveniles on felony charges after an incident at Bott’s Welding

On Feb 13 around 6:50 a.m., police responded to the property on Eastwood Drive in reference to a report of damage to 11 cars that Bott’s had been servicing. Windows had been broken, the interiors had been vandalized and spray paint had been used to ruin the outside and inside of the cars, police said.

Police did not release the names of the suspects because they are minors.

Damage was estimated at $45,000. The three suspects were charged with 12 counts of criminal damage to property, a Class 3 felony, 2 counts of criminal defacement to property, a Class A misdemeanor and 3 counts of criminal trespass to vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor.

The suspects were taken into custody May 8 and later released to their parents. They were referred to McHenry County Juvenile Court Services, police said.
