Elmhurst police, FBI seek suspect in bank robbery

ELMHURST – The FBI and Elmhurst police are looking for a suspect in the May 18 robbery of Community Bank of Elmhurst at 330 W. Butterfield Road in Elmhurst.

According to the FBI's Chicago Bandit Tracker and the Elmhurst Police Department, at 5 p.m. May 18, the suspect entered the bank and announced a robbery to the teller. A handgun was displayed in his waistband.

The offender fled the scene in a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck, with the lift gate down, going east on Butterfield Road with an undetermined amount of cash, according to Elmhurst police.

The suspect is described as a white man who is 35 years old, 6 feet tall and 160 pounds. He also has a buzz-cut haircut, and he was wearing sunglasses and a white and blue striped hoodie with blue jeans.
