Now, although our meal technically was eaten during the lunch hour, everyone knows you can never go wrong opting for the pancakes, eggs and bacon of breakfast. However, although we made the obvious choice of breakfast, my companion and I decided to order dishes with unique twists on breakfast standards.
My companion ordered the portobello Benedict, which featured a toasted English muffin topped with portobello mushroom caps, poached eggs and pesto hollandaise sauce, with grits and fruit on the side.
The portobello caps were generously sized, and the muffin was toasted nicely. The poached egg was cooked perfectly, offering plenty of yolk for dipping. The pesto hollandaise was creamy and flavorful, and the grits were served hot and fluffy.
