Best use of funds in District 99?
This is referring to the bond issue in [Community High School] District 99. If this district would stop spending money on brick-paving its parking lot at Downers [Grove] North [High School], which probably cost a few million dollars and stopped spending so much money on...multicultural things like dance and stick with science, math and computer skills and vocational training, possibly these kids would get jobs instead of turning into a bunch of "snowflakes" that major in poetry and anthropology.
Democrats need bipartisanship

'When I was a kid'
When I was a kid, I remember running or riding my bike to a friend’s house to see if they wanted to play. I would ring the doorbell and ask if they were home. I wasn’t driven to their house that was four blocks away. I actually got there by myself. I also walked to and from school. I walked in the rain, snow and heat. I remember being at the park and we would play baseball, football and basketball. ... When I drive by parks today I rarely see kids playing unless it is organized sports. Sure, you will find little kids playing on the swings, but where are the older kids? ... Do kids play in the parks and in the neighborhood anymore? Whatever happened to games like “kick the can” or “capture the flag”? ... You can say what you want about technology. Certainly, my life has benefited from it. It has changed lives however I’m not sure all in a positive way. ...
