ELMHURST – Two people have been charged with stealing headphones from an Elmhurst T-Mobile store, according to a DuPage County State's Attorney's Office news release.

Jessica Hargrays, 39, of the 2700 block of Roosevelt Road, Chicago, and Johnnie West, 52, of the 1400 block of South 10th Avenue, Maywood, were charged with retail theft and burglary, and they appeared at a bond hearing the morning of April 13, where Hargrays' bond was set at $5,000, with 10 percent to apply, and West's bond was set at $20,000, with 10 percent to apply, the release stated.

It is alleged that at 6:52 p.m. April 12, the pair entered the T-Mobile store, and Hargrays reportedly approached the counter and distracted employees while West allegedly cut a pair of headphones from a display, according to the release.

Hargrays and West then left the store, but they were stopped by Elmhurst police a few minutes later while driving, and they were taken into custody without incident, the release stated.

Hargrays was charged with an additional count of retail theft after allegedly stealing 10 bottles of body wash from a Villa Park Walgreens earlier that same day, according to the release. Her bond was set at $10,000, with 10 percent to apply, for that case.

Hargrays' and West’s next court appearance for the T-Mobile case is scheduled for May 10 in front of Judge Jeffrey MacKay. Hargrays’ next appearance for the Walgreens case is scheduled for May 7 in front of Judge Robert Miller.
