Police Reports: Elmhurst for June 8

Battery

A battery reportedly occurred at 6:39 p.m. May 30 in the 800 block of South Hawthorne Avenue.

DUI

• Corey D. Heard, 38, of the 1100 block of North Karlov Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 2:42 a.m. May 30 with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving while license revoked, aggravated fleeing and eluding, speeding and improper lane use at North Avenue and Interstate 290.

• Michael J. Matykiewicz, 43, of the 600 block of Parkside Avenue, Elmhurst, was cited at 2:36 a.m. June 1 with DUI of alcohol and improper parking in a roadway at First and Addison avenues.

• Grant T. Newport, 32, of the 16W700 block of Red Oak Avenue, Bensenville, was charged at 1:16 a.m. June 2 with DUI of alcohol and improper lane use at York and Lake streets.

Underage drinking

• David Butler, 19, of the 100 block of South Pick Avenue, Elmhurst, was cited at 11:23 p.m. May 29 with consumption of alcohol by a minor and providing alcohol to a minor in the 100 block of South Pick Avenue. A juvenile was cited at the same time and date with consumption of alcohol by a minor at the same location.

• James Kaczmarczyk, 20, of the 2400 block of South Sixth Avenue, North Riverside, was cited at 4:02 a.m. June 3 with consumption of alcohol by a minor and public intoxication in the 300 block of South Berkley Avenue. Cienna Neag, 20, of the 200 block of Marion Street, Oak Park, was cited at the same time and date with consumption of alcohol by a minor at the same location. Kaczmarczyk reportedly was struck in the head by a male suspect, but police officers were unable to make contact with the suspect.

Forgery

• An incident involving forgery was reported at 11:50 a.m. May 29 at U.S. Bank, 536 S. York St.

• An incident involving forgery reportedly occurred at noon May 25 at Citibank, 136 N. York St.

Harassment

An incident of Facebook Messenger harassment reportedly occurred at 2:37 p.m. June 2 in the 100 block of West Madison Street.

Identity theft

An incident involving identity theft reportedly occurred between 5 and 6:41 p.m. June 1 in the 300 block of North Ridgeland Avenue. The victim received a pop-up message on her computer to contact a phone number to resolve a computer issue. She contacted the number, let the individual gain access to her computer and gave her credit card number so it could be charged for repair services. The victim became suspicious and called Apple support, which advised her the callers were fraudulent. The victim contacted her credit card company and was told her credit card had not been charged. Her card was canceled.

Lost property

• An iPhone 8 reportedly was lost between 10 and 10:30 p.m. May 28 in the 300 block of South West Avenue.

• A driver's license reportedly was lost between 7:50 and 8 a.m. May 31 in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue.

Marijuana possession

• John J. Floro, 23, of the 100 block of Bobwhite Court, Bloomingdale, was cited at 7:11 p.m. May 31 with unlawful possession of marijuana, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to wear a seatbelt at York Street and Industrial Drive.

• LaDarren D. Paxton, 20, of the 10S600 block of Lilac Lane, Willowbrook, was cited at 1:52 a.m. June 1 with unlawful possession of marijuana and operating an uninsured motor vehicle in the 200 block of Illinois Street.

• Daniel Loe, 27, of the 100 block of East Gladys Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 2:41 a.m. June 2 with unlawful possession of marijuana, expired registration, no insurance and driving while license suspended at County Line Road and Grand Avenue.

• Jason E. Tripoli, 32, of the 1600 block of Linden Road, Homewood, was cited at 3:34 p.m. June 3 with unlawful possession of marijuana in the 100 block of West First Street.

Property damage

• A large blue and orange Jefferson Elementary School sign was reported to be damaged and lying in the grass at Jefferson Elementary School, 360 E. Crescent Ave.

• A window of a residence reportedly was shattered at 11:40 p.m. June 3 in the 200 block of Elm Avenue.

Suspicious circumstances

• An incident involving suspicious circumstances was reported at 10:18 a.m. May 30 at Seminole and Cottage Hill avenues.

• An incident involving suspicious circumstances was reported at 4:42 p.m. May 30 in the 300 block of North Route 83.

• An incident involving suspicious circumstances was reported at 9:25 a.m. May 31 in the 200 block of South Berkley Avenue.

Theft

• A silver, 10-inch letter "Y" from the Elmhurst Public Library's sign reportedly was stolen between 10 p.m. May 25 and 10 a.m. May 27 at the Elmhurst Public Library, 125 Prospect Ave.

• Ten containers of baby formula reportedly were stolen at 10:01 a.m. May 30 at Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St.

• A lawnmower reportedly was stolen between 2 p.m. May 24 and 7:30 p.m. May 28 in the 100 block of Evergreen Avenue.

• Terrell Aldridge, 35, of the 2700 block of West 83rd Street, Chicago, was charged at 3:33 p.m. May 31 with retail theft, driving while license suspended and illegal transportation of alcohol at Elmhurst Auto Parts, 474 Spring Road.

• A vape pen reportedly was stolen at 7:40 p.m. May 25 in the 400 block of West Butterfield Road.

• An unlocked 26-inch black mountain bicycle reportedly was stolen between 9 and 11 a.m. June 1 from alongside a garage in the 100 block of East Butterfield Road.

• An incident involving theft by deception reportedly occurred at 4:30 p.m. May 31 at Wells Fargo Bank, 333 S. Route 83. Two people reportedly came to the bank and used a "quick-change" scheme.

• An attempted theft was reported at 10:19 a.m. May 16 in the 500 block of South Sunnyside Avenue.

Traffic violation

• Nestor L. Sanchez, 49, of the 7400 block of Dixon Street, Forest Park, was cited at 12:01 a.m. June 2 with open liquor in motor vehicle in the 600 block of West North Avenue.

• Julio Granados-Vasquez, 29, of the 4100 block of West Van Buren Street, Chicago, was charged at 4:08 p.m. May 25 with driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a traffic control device at Robert T. Palmer Drive and Marion Street.

• Korey T. Burrell, 41, of the 1400 block of Balmoral Avenue, Westchester, was charged at 12:01 a.m. May 26 with driving while license suspended and improper lighting in the 800 block of North York Street.

• Lorita Arnwine, 25, of the 8100 block of South Whipple Street, Chicago, was cited at 11:32 p.m. May 26 with driving while license suspended and improper lighting at North Avenue and Route 83.

• William W. Jusack, 49, of the 200 block of South Eastern Avenue, Manhattan, was charged at 5:26 p.m. May 27 with driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at York Street and Fremont Avenue.

• Maria I. Aguado, 37, of the 8600 block of West Summerdale Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 2:06 a.m. May 28 with felony driving while license revoked, no rear registration plate light and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at Route 83 and St. Charles Road.

• Darneace Barnes, 25, of the 900 block of West College Boulevard, Addison, was charged at 12:07 p.m. May 30 with driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and obstructed view at St. Charles Road and West Avenue.

• Mark Schweihs, 60, of the 300 block of East Van Buren Street, Elmhurst, was charged at 8:54 a.m. May 31 with driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and using an electronic communication device while driving at York and Van Buren streets.

• Christopher Mann, 41, of the 200 block of South Church Road, Bensenville, was cited at 10:29 a.m. June 2 with driving while license suspended at West Grand Avenue and Church Street. Nicholas Lacey, 24, of the 8500 block of West Sunnyside Avenue, Chicago, was cited at the same time and date with improper lane use, operation of a vehicle while using an electronic device and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at the same location.

• Jonathon R. Middono, 28, of the 1200 block of Whispering Hills Court, Naperville, was charged at 12:32 a.m. June 4 with driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating an electronic communication device while driving at Route 83 and St. Charles Road.

Trespassing

• Tristan Carter, 32, of the 600 block of Bellwood Avenue, Bellwood, was charged at 6:41 p.m. May 20 with criminal trespass to property at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road.

• Three juveniles were cited at 10:04 p.m. June 3 with criminal trespass to property at East End Pool, 463 E. Schiller St.

Warrant arrest

• Pamela Sidor, 55, of the 100 block of South Second Street, Lombard, was arrested at 8:18 p.m. May 16 on a warrant out of DuPage County at the Elmhurst Police Department, 125 E. First St.

• Alexa Bowen, 23, of the 26100 block of Leslie Drive, Channahon, and Alex Brezovsky, 27, of the 300 block of South West Avenue, Elmhurst, were arrested at 1:39 p.m. May 15 on unspecified warrants in the 300 block of South West Avenue.

• David Lehman, 30, of the 17W200 block of Oak Lane, Bensenville, was arrested at 9:03 p.m. May 15 on a warrant out of Lee County and cited with expired registration at Grand Avenue and York Road.

• Jahmaal Stapleton, 26, of the 1000 block of South Route 83, Lombard, was arrested at 9:38 a.m. May 16 on a warrant out of DuPage County in the 600 block of Alexander Boulevard.

• Samantha P. Wilson, 20, of the 6200 block of East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colo., was arrested at 12:11 a.m. May 21 on an unspecified warrant and charged with obstructing identification, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while license suspended and no rear registration plate light at Route 83 and St. Charles Road. Darryl Pioch, 23, of the 40W800 block of Old LaFox Road, Campton Hills, was cited at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana at the same location.

• Raymond O. Ruiz, 28, of the 2100 block of North LeClaire Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 2:16 p.m. May 29 on a warrant out of DuPage County at the Elmhurst Police Department, 125 E. First St.
