In celebration of Chamber of Commerce Week in September, the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry will sponsor a month of networking and special events, stage a new member promotion and kickoff public sales of our Elmhurst-Opoly board game.
Governor Bruce Rauner has proclaimed September 10-14 as Chamber of Commerce Week in Illinois and Mayor Steve Morley has proclaimed September 10-16 as Chamber Week in Elmhurst.
Established a century ago in 1918, the Elmhurst Chamber is a voluntary organization of business and professional men and women who have joined together for the purpose of “promoting an environment that creates success for local businesses and our community.”
Membership benefits include services, programs and events that provide opportunities for networking and referral, business education, development and promotion, governmental representation and community involvement.
“With some 600 members, our Chamber is the largest organization representing business interests, and promoting commerce and industry in Elmhurst,” said John R. Quigley, ECCI President and CEO since 1999, the longest tenured chamber executive in DuPage County.
As part of our 100th Anniversary, an Elmhurst-Opoly board game was created as both a historical keepsake and gaming fun. Now available online, Elmhurst-Opoly also will be sold at select retail and commercial locations across the city.
Our Chamber’s new member campaign features a 16-month membership (good through 2019) at the annual investment level, which starts at $325 per year, with monthly direct debit as a payment option.
September event include a “Rock The Block” Business After Hours (September 7) hosted by Livia Italian Eatery, our annual Membership Breakfast/Open House (September 11) co-sponsored by DeForest Creative Group at DeForest Dance Academy and “Networking on the 9s” 70th Annual Golf Outing (September 20) at Sugar Creek Golf Course in Villa Park.
