Three additional DuPage County residents have succumbed to COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths in the county to 13, according to a DuPage County Health Department news release. The individuals are:
• A female resident of a Carol Stream long-term care facility in her 90s with underlying conditions.
• A female resident of an Elmhurst long-term care facility in her 70s with underlying conditions.
• A female resident of Roselle in her 60s with underlying conditions, who had been living in the community.
The are now 393 reported reported cases of COVID-19 in DuPage County, the health department said.
Of the 69 outbreak-associated cases among DuPage County residents, 41 cases including six deaths are attributed to the Willowbrook long-term care facility, 10 cases including 3 deaths are attributed to three other long-term care facilities and 18 cases are attributed to eighth outbreaks from other congregate settings or large gatherings, the news release stated.
Illinois has seen another 42 deaths due to COVID-19 and announced an additional 986 new cases of the virus Wednesday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Other new deaths include a Kane County woman in her 90s, a Lake County man in his 50s and a Will County man in his 60s, among others.
Thirty-four of the 42 newly reported deaths occurred in Cook County.
